Stephens Starlets Fall Summary

Columbia, MO - Starting the fall semester off in a different direction, the Starlets welcomed new Head Coach Katherine Schneller and switched gears from NAIA to NDA. Auditions were held in August and the team welcomed three new members to the squad. Focusing on supporting our school with their team spirit, the team began attending numerous volleyball and soccer games, cheering on the sidelines.

The team was invited to perform for the women's rights rally in downtown Columbia at the City Hall performing an impactful routine. In October, the team held their very first Stephens campus haunted tours, which was one of the teams fundraisers to help them get to NDA Nationals in Florida in April. For Halloween the team was able to volunteer with local charity Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center, helping children with disabilities all day for their annual ride-a-thon.

Before thanksgiving break, the team learned their nationals choreography and started preparing for Daytona. After break, the team held a Christmas dance clinic for children to learn a routine to perform with the team at a Stars basketball game. For their first clinic, it was a success, and the clinic registrants had a blast performing at the basketball game with the Starlets. The team went into break heads held high with excitement to keep getting ready for Nationals and perfecting their routine.
