Stephens College Athletics Mission Statement
Mission: Stephens College is a proud affiliate of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and a member of the American Midwest Conference (AMC). As a member of the NAIA and AMC, Stephens College is committed to character-driven athletics. The institution also values the NAIA mission of providing a proper balance of academics and athletics for a student's educational experience.
Philosophy: The Stephens College Department of Athletics is dedicated to supporting the overall philosophy and values set forth by the institution. It is our belief that through participation in intercollegiate athletics, our students are equipped with essential life lessons and traits that will aid in their overall personal and academic development. The athletic department aims to create a competitive environment where the students can excel in their respective sports, develop strong teamwork and leadership skills, and cultivate a sense of discipline and sportsmanship. Each Student-Athlete is expected to exhibit exemplary behavior in the athletic arena, classroom, and social setting on and off the Stephens College campus.
