Katherine Schneller

Katherine Schneller enters her first season as the Stephens assistant competitive dance coach in 2019-20. 

Schneller also works as a dance instructor at Le Dance in Overland Park, Kan., and teaches summer intensives around Missouri.

Schneller performs and teaches tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and modern dance. Her choreography skills have earned numerous competition awards. Since studying at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Conservatory of Music and Dance, she has made her mark in Kansas City, performing with Quixotic, Heartlines Contemporary Company, KC Fringe Festival, Ed Alonzo's Funhouse, Rocky Horror Picture Show and Evil Dead the Musical. She was assistant choreographer for Winter Fest at Worlds of Fun, overseeing multiple venues.

Schneller was two-year member (2010-12) of the UMKC Roos dance team. She was named a consensus All-American and won Top Gun Kicks from the National Dance Alliance.

Schneller earned acceptance into the UMKC conservatory with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in ballet and modern dance. 

The Columbia, Mo., native, attended Rock Bridge High School and was captain of its national champion dance team in 2010.
