Clint Poulsen

Clint Poulsen is entering his second year as the softball coach at Stephens College. He added the role of Head Coach to his title in Nov. 2023.

Bringing a wealth of coaching experience from high schools in Pilot Grove, Boonville, Cole Camp, and most recently Rock Bridge High School, Poulsen has also contributed to the softball scene through club coaching. With a career deeply rooted in mid-Missouri, he has fostered valuable connections within the softball community for many years.

In addition to his coaching prowess, Poulsen boasts 19 years of experience as a public school teacher. Hailing from a small rural Missouri high school, he played men's fast-pitch softball during and after high school, igniting his enduring passion for the game. Further showcasing his athletic background, Poulsen played baseball at Central Methodist for two seasons in 1995-96.

Expressing his enthusiasm for this new role, Poulsen shares, "I feel very fortunate and excited to take over the softball program at Stephens. This has been a career goal of mine, and I look forward to building something great here!"

Beyond his professional achievements, Poulsen is a dedicated family man, a proud father to five children — Kayla, Jake, Luke, Brooks, and Grace — and embracing the role of grandfather to Callen. Stephens College eagerly anticipates the positive impact Coach Poulsen will bring to the softball program and the entire campus community.
