Don Trentham

Don Trentham was named the head coach of the Stephens College women's soccer program in 2025, bringing over two decades of coaching experience at the NAIA, NCAA Division I and II, and professional levels.

A native of O’Fallon, Missouri, Trentham has an impressive track record of success. Most recently, he served as an assistant coach at Columbia College, where he helped secure the AMC Regular Season and Tournament championships, along with a 2024 NAIA Final Four appearance. His previous head coaching tenure at Montana State University Billings (2002-2010) saw him amass 85 wins, lead the program to its first and only NCAA Division II Tournament berth, and earn induction into the Yellowjacket Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022.

Trentham's extensive NCAA Division I experience includes coaching stints at Kansas State, Missouri, Colorado, and Wyoming, where he contributed to three NCAA Tournament appearances and seven conference tournament berths. His career also extends to the professional level, having coached Austria’s Frauen Bundesliga II side FC Pinzgau to a second-place finish in 2024 with an 11-1-1 record.

A dedicated developer of talent, Trentham has coached four full national team members, 14 professional players, eight youth national team participants, and four NWSL draft picks. His players have earned 12 All-American and seven Academic All-American honors.

Trentham holds a USSF "A" License, a USSF National Goalkeeping License, and multiple United Soccer Coaches certifications, including a Premier Diploma and a Performance Analysis Diploma. He earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia College in 1999 and a Master's of Education from East Stroudsburg University in 2007.

He and his wife, Jenn, reside in Columbia with their two children, Landon and Adelyn.
