Columbia, MO - The Stephens Stars took on the Mustangs of Central Baptist College on Saturday in AMC play. Looking to avenge their loss to the Mustangs last season, the Stars played a physical 90 minutes and were able to earn the 2-1 win. Kailee Wisber the chance to tie the match as she was able to convert and bring the score to 1-1. The Stars started the second half strong with a great offensive effort.
Anya Castelli scored the go-ahead goal at the 49 minute mark. From there, it was a defensive battle for both teams, but the Stars were able to hold on to earn the 2-1 win.
