Columbia, MO - The Stephens Stars took the field against the Tigers of Iowa Wesleyan University. The match proved to be very aggressive with both teams playing a physical 90 minutes. After an Iowa Wesleyan foul, Kailee Wisber (FR/St. Louis, MO) was put on the penalty line before finding the bottom corner of the net to put the Stars up 1-0. Wisber was not done yet as she picked up a deflected shot and found the back of the net again, pushing the lead to 2-0. A Tigers corner kick scored at the 66-minute mark. The remaining 24 minutes was back-and-forth, but as time expired the Stars defense proved to be too much.
