Columbia, MO - The Stephens Stars took on the Yellow Jackets of Graceland University in a non-conference matchup. After winning the first contest back in November, the Stars looked to display the improvements they have made since that contest. The Stars' defense immediately caused fits for the visiting team as Stephens jumped out to a 20-14 lead after the first quarter. Stephens moved the ball well and had contributions from six different players in the first quarter alone.
In the second quarter, the Stars were still too much for Graceland as they outscored the Yellow Jackets 14-0, pushing their lead at halftime to 34-14. Graceland came out in the third quarter determined to play better, but the Stars' defense forced nine turnovers. At the start of the fourth quarter, Stephens held a 50-26 lead. The fourth quarter was the only quarter where Graceland outscored Stephens (16-20), but the effort was made too late as the Stars claimed the victory, 66-46.
