Columbia, MO - The Stephens Stars basketball team traveled to St. Louis to take on the Hornets of Harris-Stowe State University in the first round of the AMC Women's Basketball Tournament. After a hot start in the first quarter where the Stars took a 25-14 lead, the Hornets came back in the second quarter with the same energy, taking a lead over the Stars into halftime at 40-36.
The Hornets would continue to stretch their offensive prowess in the third and fourth quarters. The Stars attempted to make a late push at the end of the fourth quarter, but it was too late as the Hornets would take the win, 75-58.
