Columbia, MO - The Stephens Stars took on Kentucky State University and Harris-Stowe State University today in non-conference action. In the first game of the day, the Stars took on the Thoroghbreds of KSU. KSU got on the board first with one run in the first inning, but the Stars started strong too with six runs of their own to take a 6-1 lead. Both teams were scoreless into the fourth when KSU scored once. The Stars scored one in the fifth before scoring three more in the sixth to run-rule the Thorobreds 10-2.
The Stars took on the Hornets of Harris-Stowe State University in game two. A 10-run first inning set the pace for the Stars as they would cruise to a 18-0 run-rule of the Hornets in five innings.
