Four new players have joined the the Stars for winter term. Three players are junior college transfers, and one is an international player from Belgium. Stephens College has now appeared in consecutive  AMC conference tournament play, a win in the quarterfinals, and a recent 5th place finish in their respective conference. Coach Bruce Palmbaum stylistic approach is now gaining the attention of quality recruits. "Our recruiting is ongoing and the quality of the players showing interest in our program shows that the hardwork the team is putting in is paying off," Bruce Palmbaum states.

Gabrielle Mattli, a junior college transfer, joins the Stars from East Central College in St. Louis. Mattli, a goalkeeper and defender, is a two-time Missouri Community College Athletic Conference all conference player. She is originally from Washington, Mo and attended St. Borgia High School before playing at ECC. Mattli will be a junior and study Business at Stephens College. Coach Palmbaum is ectastic bringing in Matti claiming,"Gabby is an experienced player with a ton of quality. We are so excited she has joined the team."

Kacey Watson, a junior college transfer, joins the Stars from East Central College in St. Louis. Watson, a defender, is a one-time Missouri Community College Athletic Conference all conference player. She is from Paisley, Scotland and attended St. Benedicts High School before playing at ECC. Watson will be a sophomore and is undeclared as a major at Stephens. "Kacey is a tremendous defender and will bolster our backline. Getting a player of Kacey's ability to join us helps future recruits know our program is improving", says coach Palmbaum.Â

Amanda Coppeti, a junior college transfer, joins the Stars from University of Arkansas Rich Mountain. Coppeti, a midfielder, played in 17 matches for the Bucks last season. She is from Ijui, Brazil and attended Colegio Evangelico Augusto Pestana before playing at Rich Mountain. Coppeti, will be a junior studying Communication Design at Stephens. Coach Palmbaum expressed that Coppeti is a player every program wants,"Amanda is an attacking player with a lot of experience. She is good at keeping the ball in our possession when under pressure."Â

Noemie Crombez-Bloemen is an international freshman from Hasslet, Belgium near the border in Netherlands. Crombez-Bloemen is a forward and attended Atlas College for high school before joining the Stars. She will be studying pre-Med at Stephens. "Noemie is a slippery attacking player who brings a ton of creativity and pace to our game. It will be fun to watch her next fall," Coach Palmbaum says.Â

Recruiting for Fall 2023 will continue as the Stars look to replace their 6 graduating seniors. "We are almost done with our 2023 recruiting at this point, but always on the hunt for a surprise. I will be out watching as many games this spring as I can."
