The 2022 soccer season was a season of records at Stephens. For the first time in program history, the Stars finished 5th in the AMC Conference standings. After defeating William Woods for the first time ever in the AMC Conference tournament quarterfinal, the Stars fell in the semifinal. The quarterfinal win and competing in the semifinal were both program firsts.  With six positive AMC Conference results (4 wins and 2 ties), the Stars recorded more points in AMC play, with 14 points, than any Stars team in history. The team recorded six shutouts in AMC play; another Stars record.Â
“2022 was a breakthrough AMC season for us. We had success with every team in the conference except Columbia College, Harris Stowe, and Missouri Baptist. In fact, we were undefeated against all the rest of the teams in the conference scoring ten goals without allowing any of these opponents to score against us" said Palmbaum. Five student athletes were recognized by the AMC all conference teams for their achievements in 2022 with 2 named to both the All-AMC Conference first team and the All-AMC Conference tournament team. Off the field eight Stars earned Academic All-AMC recognition and one player was named to the AMC and NAIA Champions of Character team. Â
