Columbia, Mo.- The Stars traveled across town Monday night to play fifth-ranked Columbia College. The Stars met the Cougars in an AMC match-up that ended in a 0-4 loss. 

The Cougars made several attempts to score early in the first half, but the Stars defenders were able to hold them off until the 17-minute mark.  A shot by AMC conference player of the week, Kailee Wisber was the only scoring opportunity for the Stars in the half. 

The Stars came out of the halftime break with tremendous energy; however, their enthusiasm was met by an energized Columbia offense which resulted in another Cougar goal making the score 0-4.  The Cougars continued their offensive attack with multiple shots, but Stars goalie, Sofia Ramos did not let any more pass to close out the game.  Ramos finished with 14 saves on the night.  The final score for the evening in Columbia was a 0-4 loss for Stephens.   

The Stars return to play for their final home game on October 17 at Battle High against AMC match-up, Harris-Stowe State University at 7 pm.
