ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Stephens College Stars (2-12-2, 1-6 AMC) concluded their 2024 campaign with a 1-3 loss to Missouri Baptist in the quarterfinal round of the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Tournament on Friday evening. This year marked Stephens' fourth postseason appearance.

Missouri Baptist took control early, scoring in the 9th minute. The Spartans extended the lead in the 39th minute and later struck again in the 50th minute, making it 3-0. 

Stephens responded with determination, as junior defender Lily Cook found the net in the 77th minute, scoring her first goal of the season unassisted. Despite their efforts, the Stars were unable to close the gap further.

Goalkeeper Sofia Ramos capped off an impressive game with nine saves and pushed her career total to 198 saves, now the third-highest in program history.

The Stars Soccer team looks forward to building on this foundation for the 2025 season.
