KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA announced the Champions of Character Five-Star Award winners for the 2023-24 academic year, with Stephens College recognized as a gold-level recipient.
Institutions are measured on their commitment to the Champions of Character
® program, earning points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Points are also awarded based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and minimal to no ejections during competitions throughout the academic year.
Each year, NAIA institutions and conferences demonstrate their progress in pursuing character-driven athletics. The Champions of Character Scorecard has a maximum of 100 points. Institutions can be recognized at three levels: Gold (90-100 points), Silver (75-89 points), and Bronze (60-74 points).
