COLUMBIA, Mo. – Stephens College Athletics is excited to welcome Fernanda Braga as the new assistant coach for the Stars volleyball program. A former professional player with over 20 years of experience, Braga brings a wealth of knowledge and international success to the team.
"I'm excited to join the team as the assistant volleyball coach," said Braga. "I look forward to bringing my experience and passion for the game to this role and contributing to the continued success and growth of the team."
Braga enjoyed a decorated playing career, competing professionally in Brazil, Italy, Azerbaijan, and France. A standout setter, she also represented the Brazilian National Team, earning a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Following her retirement from professional play, Braga transitioned into coaching and leadership. She previously served as the director of a volleyball club in the United States and has led several competitive teams, mentoring athletes and developing strong programs.

"Her extensive experience as a professional athlete and coach, combined with her passion for developing players, will be a tremendous asset to our program. I am excited to see the impact she will have on our team's growth and success, both on and off the court."
Braga's international experience and championship pedigree will be key assets as she steps into her role at Stephens College and helps guide the Stars to new heights.
