Columbia, MO - Stephens hosted Williams Baptist for a doubleheader on April 18, falling in both contests.
Game One: Stars 1, Eagles 9
Stephens dropped the opener 9-1 after Williams Baptist used a six-run fourth inning to create separation. The Eagles scored in the first and third innings before breaking the game open in the fourth, and added one more run in the sixth.
The Stars got on the board in the bottom of the third. Kyndal Vincent reached with a single and later scored on an RBI double from Mylee Hawkins to cut the deficit to 2-1 at the time. Vincent led Stephens at the plate, going 3-for-3, while Hawkins added two hits and an RBI. Abby Schmidt also recorded a hit, finishing with a double as part of the team's seven-hit effort.
Stephens was unable to generate additional runs after the third inning. Elise Kendrick took the loss in the circle, with Katie Dennis providing relief.

Game Two: Stars 5, Eagles 8
Stephens fell 8-5 in the second game, despite putting together a strong offensive performance with 13 hits. The Stars struck first in the opening inning when Abby Schmidt drove in Addison Flores with a single.
Williams Baptist responded with a five-run third inning to take control, but Stephens answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning. Elise Kendrick delivered an RBI single, and Landry Bales followed with a sacrifice fly to make it 6-3.
The Stars continued to push in the fifth inning, as Bales came through again with a two-run double to bring Stephens within one at 6-5. Schmidt led the offense with a perfect 4-for-4 performance, while Vincent added two hits and Kendrick scored twice.
Williams Baptist added two insurance runs in the seventh inning, and Stephens was unable to respond in the bottom half. Claire Mohan-Ram took the loss, while Savannah Greathouse pitched in relief.
