Misty Ransdell joins the Stephens College Women’s Basketball program as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2024-25 season.
Originally from Lorton, Va., Ransdell was a multi-sport athlete at South County High School, winning three state championships with the FPYC Lady Jags Rugby Club.
Her coaching career began in 2011 at Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Va., where she progressed from freshman girls' head coach to varsity assistant. She also coached AAU basketball with PWC Heat alongside her former high school coach.
Misty earned a bachelor's degree in human services with minors in psychology and education from Columbia College, where she worked in athletics and later became a graduate assistant while earning her master’s in criminal justice administration. Her coaching experience includes roles at Hickman High School in Columbia, Mo., where she advanced to JV boys' head coach during the 2020-21 season.
Ransdell continues to coach locally and is excited to join the Stars family. “My family and I could not be more excited for this opportunity to be an addition to this Stars Family.”
