Sydney Flood was a four-year starter for the Moberly Spartans in Moberly, MO. Her senior year she led Moberly in scoring at 18 points per game while making 48 threes, handing out 2.8 assists per game and grabbing 5.8 rebounds per contest. Sydney was a first team selection to both the All-North Central Missouri Conference and the All-Class 4 District 13 teams as well as an All-State high school player during her junior and senior years. Moberly finished second at districts and had a 19-7 overall season record.
Flood played collegiately at Lindenwood University. Coach Bell said that “Sydney’s future is beyond bright. She reminds me so much of myself as a young coach who will be a star in this game. Sydney is a high character person with a very high IQ for basketball, she is a born leader with a ‘light up the room’ personality. I am extremely fortunate to have Sydney on our coaching staff, she will be an instant impact for our players, campus and community.”
Coach Sydney also played AAU travel basketball for Coach Bell when he coached the Missouri Lady Storm out of Moberly, MO. “Syd is ready to be a superstar in this coaching business,” said Coach Bell.
“I chose to join the Stephens basketball coaching staff with Coach Bell because he is all about trust, family and sticking together, and when he says family, he means it. Andre has always been in my corner since junior high, and I know he doesn’t only want the best for himself but the best for his players, coaches, and friends for the long run! Coach Bell has always had my back and has always encouraged me to continue to follow my passion even when I wasn’t the most confident. I am so excited and honored to work with him and the other coaching staff to help our players be the best they can be on and off the court.
