Robyn Griffin is entering her second year as the Sports Information Director at Stephens College and her first year as the Senior Women's Leader. She originally joined the department as Sports Information Director in September 2023.
Griffin oversees athletic communication at Stephens including: updating and maintaining the athletic website, creating and designing publications and graphics, managing social media channels, capturing and editing in-game photography, overseeing live broadcasts of varsity events, and is also responsible for game management staffing and personnel training.
Chicago native, Griffin received a scholarship in 2016 to play volleyball while gaining her bachelor's in general studies at Indiana University - Northwest in Gary, Ind. While there, Griffin was a part of the program's record-breaking season in 2016 and was on the first team in program history to make it to the first round of the NAIA National Tournament in 2018. Griffin was also named to the A.I.I. All-Tournament team in 2018.Â
During her time off the court, Griffin worked as a student statistician for the IUN athletics department and became the main point of contact for stats. Within her final year, she was able to run game days as well as create graphics for the athletics program.Â
She proceeded to continue her education at the University of Indianapolis where she gained a graduate assistantship for the sports management department and earned her master's in sports management in 2023. During her time in Indianapolis, Griffin was able to partake in various events not limited to the College Football Playoffs in 2021 and working at the NCAA in the Eligibility Center.Â
