Columbia, MO - The Stephens Stars took on the Scots of Lyon College in AMC action this weekend. Stephens got on the board first after Kailee Wisber converted on a penalty-kick, putting the Stars up 1-0. The Stars out-shot the Scots in the first half 11-5, and then again in the second half 12-5. Lyon took a shot that rebounded off the post and was picked up by Caitlynn Porter (Lyon) who found the back of the net at the 77 minute mark to bring the score even, 1-1. In the first period of over time, Lyon had a fast break down the right side of the field and another shot from Porter (Lyon) found its way past the Stars defense to close out the match win for the Scots, 2-1.
