Lamoni, IA - The Stephens Stars basketball team traveled to Graceland University to take on the Yellow Jackets in a non-conference matchup. Stephens took control of the match early on as the Stars' defense forced 24 turnovers from Graceland. After the first quarter, Stephens held on to a narrow 21-19 lead. Both teams traded points in the second quarter to a 32-30 Stephens lead at halftime.
Graceland struggled offensively in the third quarter, allowing the Stars to push their lead to 48-42. The fourth quarter proved to be the most exciting as both teams traded points to the very end. The Yellow Jackets attempted to make a late push, but the Stars' defense held firm, helping the Stars close out the 67-61 win.
