Stephens College looked to shake off their loss against UHSP against the number three seed, Missouri Baptist University on Thursday night in a rematch.
The Stars gave Missouri Baptist a lot of problems in their first meeting and was hoping to do the same. 
In the first quarter of play, both teams had their fair looks with Stephens getting thirteen shots compared to Missouri Baptist 17. The Stars had four turnovers in the quarter which led to easy buckets for Mo. Bap, however, we ended the quarter tied at thirteen all. 

Moving into the second quarter, each team had their fair shot of chances and looked dead even. Both teams scored 15 points, with the Stars shooting 6-12 and Mo. Bap going 7-18. The zone defense that Coach Bell implemented in teh first half the Trojans scratching their head on finding the weak point of the defense. We went into half time with the scored tied up, 38-38. 

The turnovers in the second half is what did the Stars in. The zip on the ball started to die off and the guards from Mo. Bap forced eleven turnovers compared to their two. The turnovers and the free throws were the weak spots for Stephens College tonight with a total of seventeen TO's and gong 4-14 from the charity stripe. Their defense was spectacular as they held Missouri Baptist to 21-62 (33.9%) shooting and only allowed 4-21 (19%) threes. 

The Stars fell for the second time to Missouri Baptist 61-56 and are looking to get their winning streak going again against Cottey College, Feb. 11th at 1:00 PM.
