The Win Streak Continues

The Win Streak Continues

The Stars had the University of Health Science & Pharmacy come to town in a crucial double header that the Stars wanted to take as they have had a slow start within the AMC.

Elise Kendrick received the nod to pitch game one and this was arguably her best outing of the season. Pitching a complete game, she gave up three hits and only one earned run, while striking out four. Kendrick was able to help her self out offensively, going two for two with a triple, homerun, a walk and an RBI. Maisie Billups, Mo Thibodeaux, and Avery Throckmorton all batted in a run padding the score to allow Kendrick pitch away. Stars win game one, 5-1.

Grace Tath has been racking up the wins as of late, pitched five scoreless innings with only two hits allowed. The Stars bats are really starting to shine here as we had eight players get at least one hit. Gillian Hale and Elise Kendrick both had triples on the day with Avery Throckmorton having the lone double. The heart of the order was where the runs poured in as this is a continuing trend. The three through six spot scored seven of the eight runs of the game with Avery Throckmorton leading the way with three RBIs. Stars take this game, 8-0.

We see the Stars again Saturday as they take on Harris-Stowe University.
