CANTON, Mo. — The Stars fell to Culver-Stockton 0-5 in their first match of the regular season.
The Stars traveled to Canton to face the Wildcats but were unable to secure a win away from home.

Sofia Ramos made an early save on a shot to the corner by a Wildcats forward, keeping the score level at 0-0 until the 20th minute when the Wildcats broke through with the game's first goal.
The Wildcats extended their lead to 0-2 before halftime.
Shortly after the second half began, the Wildcats scored three more goals in quick succession. Despite the early surge, the Stars managed to hold them off for the remainder of the match.
Ramos finished with two saves for the Stars.
The Stars will now prepare for their home opener at Battle High School on Aug. 30 at 7 p.m.
