Columbia, MO - Stephens volleyball continued its strong conference play on Wednesday night with a dominant 3-0 sweep over Hannibal-LaGrange inside Silverthorne Arena. The Stars controlled the match from start to finish, taking the sets 25-7, 25-11, and 25-8 to improve to 22-11 overall and 14-1 in conference action.
Stephens delivered one of its most efficient offensive performances of the season, hitting .440 as a team while limiting the Trojans to a -.056 percentage. Amari Branch-Autman led the Stars with eight kills on a .615 hitting percentage and added three aces. Lena Hunziker matched her with eight kills and served up six aces, while Fernanda Izar added six kills and a .500 attack percentage. Setter Cagla Aslan guided the offense with 17 assists and five service aces.
Defensively, Jatnna Peña-Perez anchored the back row with 10 digs, and Stephens allowed the Trojans only 26 total points across the three sets.
Stephens will be back in action this Friday night inside Silverthorne Arena for Senior Night.
