Chickasha, OK - Stephens soccer wrapped up its road trip with a match against Science and Arts on Saturday afternoon, falling 13-0 at McLaughlin Field.
The Stars battled through a challenging opening half as Science and Arts built a 4-0 lead by the break. Despite the pressure, Stephens goalkeeper Sofia Ramos made several key stops to keep the score from growing even larger early. Ramos finished the match with 13 saves while facing 41 total shots.
Stephens generated offensive chances in both halves, led by Moriah Carnahan who recorded four shots, three on goal. Josey Uhrig and Eastin Colyer also created opportunities, each adding a shot for the Stars.
Science and Arts struck quickly in the second half and maintained control, ultimately scoring nine times after the break. The Stars continued to push forward, earning looks on goal and playing with effort to the final whistle.
Stephens will return to action on Saturday, September 27th, back at home, against Dakota State University. Kick-off is scheduled for 12:00pm.Â
