Paragould, AR - Stephens turned in a dominant all-around performance on Saturday afternoon, earning a 93–36 win over Crowley's Ridge at the Carter Activities Center. The Stars controlled the game from the opening quarter, using defensive pressure and strong rebounding to build a 25–13 lead after the first 10 minutes. That momentum carried into the second quarter, where Stephens held Crowley's Ridge to just five points and went into halftime with a 38–18 advantage.
The Stars took full control coming out of the break, delivering their strongest stretch of the game in the third quarter. Stephens outscored Crowley's Ridge 32–11 in the period, fueled by efficient scoring and a steady flow of transition opportunities created by turnovers. LaiJanique Perry-Ellis led the offensive effort with a game-high 26 points, consistently finishing in the paint while also connecting from the perimeter. Sydney Reddin followed with 16 points on an efficient shooting night, including multiple three-pointers that helped stretch the defense.
Quimari Shelton anchored the interior with a double-double, finishing with 13 points and 13 rebounds while controlling the glass on both ends of the floor. Simone Clay added 11 points and knocked down key shots during the third-quarter run, while Destinee Hunt contributed eight points along with steady play on both ends. Stephens' depth also showed throughout the game, as the bench provided valuable minutes and scoring to maintain the tempo.
Stephens continued to extend the lead in the fourth quarter, pushing the margin to as many as 61 points before closing out the win. The Stars finished with 52 points in the paint, forced 48 turnovers, and turned those into 53 points, showcasing a complete team effort.
The Stars return to action this week back at home on Thursday, facing Cottey College at 5:30pm and again, Saturday against University of the Health Sciences and Pharmacy at 1:00pm in Silverthorne Arena.
