This afternoon, the Stars traveled back to Hannibal to finish off their season series against them. Game two started with the Trojans leading off in their bottom half of the inning, feeling a bit backwards to the visiting Stars yet nothing was phasing them today.Â
Grace Tath started on the rubber and threw another gem. With five innings pitched and only allowing one run, Tath is now 7-6 on the season and the Stars earned their spot in the AMC conference tournament. Coach
Emily Kingsolver was thrilled with the passion and energy the squad gave her today, with every player getting into the game. The Stars had a total of six doubles with
Aubrei Roland,
Gillian Hale, and
Ellie Kliethermes helping out with two RBI's each. The Stars took the Trojans 10-1 in six innings of play.Â
With this victory, the Stars have achieved the highest amount of wins in a season (16), most conference wins in a season (8), and sweeping Hannibal-LaGrange for the first time in their sixteen year history.Â
That said, the jobs not finished Stephens looks forward to playing Columbia College this Friday at 3PM & 5PM.Â
