Columbia, MO - The Stephens College Stars closed out the 2025 season with one of the strongest all-around campaigns in program history, finishing with a 6-11-1 overall record. Stephens also recorded a 3-3 mark in American Midwest Conference play, which tied the best conference record the program has ever achieved and secured the Stars' third appearance in the AMC Quarterfinals.
Offensively, the Stars delivered one of their most productive seasons on record. The team finished with 114 total points, which is the second-highest single-season total in school history. Their 41 goals also ranked second all-time, and their average of 2.28 goals per match was the second-best scoring rate in program history. Her consistency in goal provided stability throughout the season and played a major role in the team's competitive performance during conference play.
The Stars' record-setting year was also reflected in an impressive collection of postseason awards and academic honors. Carnahan became the first player in program history to be named AMC Freshman of the Year. Stephens also set a new program record by placing three players on the AMC First Team All-Conference. Carnahan, Addie Butler, and Brncova all earned first-team recognition. The Stars added two more selections on the AMC Second Team, as Eastin Colyer and Ava Leininger were honored, which set a new program record for the most second-team selections in a single season.
The Stars earned AMC Player of the Week recognition six times during the season, which is the highest total in program history. Academic success also played a major role in the team's story. Lily Cook, Sofia Ramos, Carsyn Osborn, Dafne Gonzalez, Felice Schreuder, Kayln Apodaca, Lourdes Dias, Kylee Kratzer, and Charlie Keefe were all named Academic All-Conference. The program also placed six athletes on the CSC Academic All-District team. Osborn, Cook, Kratzer, Keefe, Colyer, and Brncova were all recognized for their academic excellence.
